Introduction
Club de Golf de Acapulco was the first golf course to be built in Acapulco. Established in 1949 it has firmly become a popular venue with the locals in providing a simple but enjoyable facility to play a game of golf.
It is a nine hole course with ten greens. Holes 1/10 have their own individual greens. The remaining holes each have two flags. White for the front nine (play from the white coconuts/tee blocks), blue flags (blue tees) for the back nine.
At only 2,549 yards it would be simple to think that this is a course that can easily be over-powered by the big hitters. But that would do the course an injustice. It is much more enjoyable to play the holes as the par dictates, thereby giving your short game a great test.
The course has changed very little since it first opened, but Acapulco has developed around it. Condominiums and the main beach road (Costera) border the course, beware the out-of-bounds. Playing the course you soon forget where you are, as you are highly likely to see an abundance of nature here, especially deer, iguana and peacocks freely roaming.
